Interesting Supply Chain Management
On the afternoon of October 30th, Prof. Mou Shandong, class director of Supply Chain Management-Economic Statistics Dual Degree Program of Class of 2024, Prof. Qian Cheng, head of Department of Supply Chain and Operation Management of School of Business, and Prof. Qi Yu visited Shahe Campus. With the theme of “Into Supply Chain Management: Interesting Supply Chain Management”, Prof. Qian Cheng started from the development and discipline positioning of supply chain management, and explained the concepts and core areas of supply chain management. Afterwards, Prof. Qian Cheng used a beer game to help everyone deeply understand the bullwhip effect in supply chain management. The beer game also ignited the enthusiasm of the students and pushed the atmosphere of the exchange meeting to the climax.
After the sharing, Prof. Qian Cheng, Prof. Mou Shandong and Prof. Qi Yu had an in-depth interactive exchange with students on the professional development trend, career direction and course study, and encouraged them to continue to explore and innovate in their future study and practice.
Inventory management
On October 31st, Mr. Mou Shandong, class director of Supply Chain Management-Economic Statistics Dual Degree Program of Class 2024, and Prof. Lu Jizhou from Department of Supply Chain and Operation Management went to Shahe Campus. With the theme of “Into Supply Chain Management: Inventory Management”, Prof. Lu emphasized the importance of inventory management in supply chain management, and explained in detail the application of professional knowledge and real society through vivid enterprise cases.
Afterwards, Prof. Lu and Prof. Mou interacted with the students and answered every question patiently, and hoped that the students would consolidate the basic theories, strengthen the foundation of mathematics, science and English, and enhance their own research ability, so as to lay a foundation for future development.
Supply Chain Management National Premier Undergraduate Program Shares
On December 4, Chen Jinliang, vice dean of the School of Business, Prof. Mou Shandong, director of the 2024 Supply Chain Management-Economic Statistics Dual Degree Class, and Prof. Qi Yu, counselor, went to Shahe Campus. With the theme of “Entering Supply Chain Management: Introduction to the First-class Undergraduate Major of Supply Chain Management”, Dean Chen explained the national development of supply chain management, the main body of our university's professional construction, and the talent cultivation mode of supply chain management based on the enrollment of large business classes. He made the students know the professional training system and time line from a macro perspective.
Prof. Chen, Prof. Mou and Prof. Qi carefully inquired about the study and life situation of the double-degree students, communicated with them cordially, and encouraged them to face the final exam positively and actively devote themselves to the sprinting stage of final revision.
The class professor, Prof. Mou Shandong, and the counselor, Prof. Qi Yu, urged the students to take the exam in good faith and emphasized the regulations and penalties for cheating in the exam, so that the students can have the sense of discipline and internalize the integrity of the exam in their hearts and deeds.
