From December 16 to 30, 2024, CUFE Business School successfully hosted the 2024 PhD Winter Academic Forum. The event invited Professor Guo Jianluan from the Strategy Department, Professors Li Jiapeng and Liu Zixu, Department Chair Gu Leilei and Professor Miao Yuexin from the Marketing Department, Department Chair Zhang Hongyu and Professor Ji Yueting from the Organization and Human Resource Management Department, Professor Zhou Liguo from the Supply Chain and Operations Management Department, and Professor Dou Chao from the Finance and Financial Management Department as panelists. A total of 32 doctoral students from various grades within the school presented or listened to research achievements and proposals.

The forum was divided into five thematic tracks based on participants’ research topics: Strategic Management, Marketing, Organization and Human Resource Management, Finance and Financial Management, and Supply Chain and Operations Management. During the sessions, presenters elaborated on their current research, including the background, theoretical foundations, research design, and key findings, while candidly sharing challenges encountered during their studies. After carefully reviewing each presentation, the panelists provided in-depth critiques and feedback, offering concrete suggestions on theoretical application, hypothesis development, model construction, research methodology, data sources, and result interpretation. They encouraged students to engage with academic frontiers, expand the breadth and depth of their research, and integrate China’s management practices with cutting-edge theories to advance the development of management studies.

The PhD Academic Forum aligns with CUFE Business School’s mission to cultivate talent, providing a platform for doctoral students to exchange ideas, share experiences, broaden academic perspectives, and promote scholarly growth. It inspires students to focus on core issues in China’s economic and social development, blend local management practices with global theoretical advancements, and pursue innovation in management research.
